"Important Customer Notice: Fraudulent Calls Impersonating FNB
First National Bank of Waverly (FNB) has received reports of fraudulent phone calls in which scammers are impersonating bank employees.
During these calls, the caller may claim that suspicious or fraudulent transactions have been detected on your debit or credit card. They may then ask you to provide information such as your full card number, expiration date, or the three-digit security code on the back of your card.
Please do not provide this information.
FNB will never call you unexpectedly and ask you to provide your complete card number, expiration date, or card security code.
Scammers can also manipulate Caller ID information, making a call appear to come from a familiar or legitimate phone number. Some of the calls reported to us appeared to originate from FNB phone numbers, but fraudulent calls can come from virtually any number.
If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from FNB:
Hang up without providing any personal or card information.
Do not call the number provided by the caller.
Contact First National Bank of Waverly directly using a phone number you know to be legitimate.
If you have already provided card information to a suspicious caller, contact us as soon as possible so we can help protect your account.
Receiving one of these calls does not necessarily mean that your FNB account or card information has been compromised. In many cases, criminals are simply attempting to trick customers into voluntarily providing information they do not already have.
